Fire Detection Systems - SADI

An Automatic Fire Detection System – SADI continuously checks for signs indicative of fire through devices that aim to detect any sign or risk of fire.
When the Fire Detection Center receives alarm signals from automatic and manual detectors, it sends the respective alarms to audiovisual signaling devices such as sirens and emergency lights and later to remote receivers through telephone transmitters (GSM), dedicated lines , or others, in the shortest time possible and reliably and efficiently.
This system includes conventional and/or addressable panels, smoke detectors, thermo-velocimetrics, linear detectors, lasers, manual alarm push buttons, signallers, sirens, command modules, GSM and/or fixed-line communicators , fire door retainers, among many other equipment.

The following definitions apply to fire detection and alarm systems:

  • Conventional systems, detection circuits with devices installed in zones, allowing the control unit to identify the protected area (zone) in alarm or failure.
  • Addressable systems, detection circuits with individually addressed devices, allowing the switch to identify the exact protected location and the device in alarm or failure.

Some implementations of Fire Detection Systems - SADI

According to the Ordinance n.º 1532/2008 which approves the Technical Regulation on Fire Safety in Buildings (SCIE), buildings must be equipped with installations that allow detecting the fire and, in an emergency, broadcast the alarm to their occupants, alert firefighters and activate systems and equipment of security.
